The Transfer of Sovereignty of the Western Territory was a treaty between Bowasia and the United States of JBR over the status of the Western Territory or Yunoland. Signed in January, 2013 the treaty established the conditions for the transfer of the territory from Bowasian occupation to the United States of JBR.
A TREATY BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES OF JBR AND THE FEDERATED REPUBLIC OF BOWASIA
The Federated Republic of Bowasia agrees to transfer full sovereignty of the Western Territory to the United States of JBR. All Bowasian laws shall no longer apply to the Western Territory. The Federated Republic of Bowasia and the United States of JBR shall be permitted to deploy their respective military forces in the Western Territory, however, testing of military equipment of the Western Territory shall be prohibited.
All citizens in the Western Territory shall have dual citizenship of both the United States of JBR and the Federated Republic of Bowasia. All Bowasian assets within the Western Territory shall remain in Bowasian possession, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.
The Western Territory shall be a protectorate of both the United States of JBR and the Federated Republic of Bowasia. Any foreign attacks on the Western Territory shall require the military intervention of both parties.
This treaty will not go into effect until it has been signed by the heads of government and heads of state of the respective parties and until it has been ratified by both parties according to their respective laws.
