The Nationalist Party of the Union of Midway, also known as the Nationalist Party of Midway but best known as the Nationalist Party, is a major political party in the Union of Midway. It is also the largest political party in the Union of Midway. It holds 29 seats total in all of the Provincial Committee's, 2 out of 8 seats in the State Committee, and 4 out of 16 seats in the Congress. It is a conservationist in some of it political positions but most of its positions are based off nationalism. Many of its positions can be considered liberal nationalist in at least one way. For example they believe a nation is not based on common ethnic ancestry, but a political entity who's core is not ethnicity. They do emphasize the ultranationalist intense support for ones nation, but condemns any form of oppression of the people and genocide. The party was founded on December 18, 2010 by Kim Dong-Ju. He combined the social beliefs of the people of the Union of Midway and ultranationalism's intense support for one nation and some liberal nationalist beliefs. That combined with his leadership and persuasiveness quickly made the Nationalist Party one of the major political parties in the Union of Midway. The party does actively recruit, but generally leaves it up to the person being recruited to choose whether or not to join. The party identifies itself centre-right fiscally and socially. On other terms it either stays with the belief system of the people of the Union of Midway, or the nationalist ideology.
